Breed it or blend it?
Have you ever wondered why some fiber is blended and some shepherds cross-breed their animals? This box explores just that! Icelandic is the main breed throughout the box, you will spin pure Icelandic, Black Welsh, and CVM as well as how they are blended with Icelandic or crossed with it. This box blew away my preconceived ideas of what would be better, I was totally in camp breed it. I also thought I would hate CVM/Icelandic blended... well I was completely wrong!
Each ball is 1oz, totaling 7oz of roving in the box. I spun all the Icelandic Lopi style and made a pair of fingerless mitts out of it. For the CVM balls, I plied them together and also made a pair of fingerless mitts. I love both pairs!
I only have a small amount of these, it is hard to find Black Welsh in MN so grab it before it is gone! All the fleeces sourced for this box were local to MN, making this extra special.
