Yarn CSA share
Come experience the seasons with a Yarn CSA share! What is a CSA you ask? It stands for "community-supported agriculture", and individuals will purchase a share at the start of the season and receive a share each month based on what is in season. With a roving CSA you will receive a share each month of roving from a different breed or blend based on the season. The share begins in May and will end in October as is typical for other growing seasons. This share will come in two options, a full share will provide you with 300 yards of yarn each month, and a half share will be 150 yards of yarn. The share will also have patterns for knitting and weaving and will tell the story of where the fiber comes from.
The shares will be available for shipping or pick up at a local event each month, either at the Sunday funday or knit and brew with ewe. Prior to the arrival of the item, you will receive a newsletter with information regarding the item, the sheep and shepherd, and the unique properties of the fiber.
This is a great opportunity to help me continue to support the amazing shepherds who grow the fiber I source. Your share will allow me to continue to make the beautiful item and pay the shepherd over what the going rate is for their fiber, which in many cases is pennies to the LB. Through this share we can start to show the larger community that all fiber has value, all fiber is wanted, and all fiber can be used.
