Wool Bedding- Lap blanket
Lap blankets are a great gift that will keep you warm on cold winter nights. They also fit cribs and toddler beds and will help your little one get a good night's rest.
Ordering wool bedding supports our small family farm and the sheep that we own which are Icelandic sheep. We shear the sheep in the early Spring, their winter coat is wonderful for bedding. We use sustainable practices when raising our animals, ensuring that they are healthy and happy. We rotate their pastures between natural prairie, and wooded areas to ensure they have enough to eat and that they do not put too much stress on the land. We have the wool processed at a local family-owned mill, that is a member of the Sustainable Home Furnishing Association. They do not use any harmful chemicals or dyes in the processing of the wool. The tag on your bedding will give you instructions for the care of your bedding. Remember, this will be the last time you will purchase bedding, for the rest of your life!
The lap blanket size is 45"X60" and weighs 1lb.
Natural wool is a timeless option for bedding, here's why:
- Breathability
Wool's inherent breathability and moisture-wicking properties help regulate body temperature, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
- Natural
Wool is all natural, surpassing synthetic fill in terms of quality and durability.
- Dust Mite Resistant
Wool is a great choice if dust mites concern you. Wool fibers wick away moisture, creating a low-humidity microclimate inhospitable to dust mites.
- Anti-Microbial and Anti-Bacterial
Wool resists bacteria and is both antimicrobial and antibacterial.
- Naturally Fire Resistant
Wool is inherently fire resistant, providing a safe sleep environment without the need for chemical additives.
- Renewable
Sheep grow a new coat of wool every year and are not harmed during shearing. It’s like getting a haircut.
- Supports Small Ranches And Ranchers
Wool is a sustainable product and helps small ranchers make a living.
