Wool Bedding- Lap blanket
Lap blankets are a great gift that will keep you warm on cold winter nights. They also fit cribs and toddler beds and will help your little one get a good nights rest.
Ordering wool bedding supports our small family farm, and the sheep that we own which are Icelandic sheep. We shear the sheep in the early Spring, their winter coat is wonderful for bedding. We use sustainable practices when raising our animals, ensuring that they are healthy and happy. We rotate their pastures between natural prairie, and wooded areas to ensure they have enough to eat and that they do not put too much stress on the land. We have the wool processed at a local family owned mill, that is a member of the Sustainable Home Furnishing Association. They do not use any harmful chemicals or dyes in the processing of the wool. The tag on your bedding will give you instructions into the care of your bedding. Remember, this will be the last time you will purchase bedding, for the rest of your life!
Natural wool is a timeless option for bedding, here's why:
Wool's inherent breathability and moisture-wicking properties help regulate body temperature, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Wool is all natural, surpassing synthetic fill in terms of quality and durability.
- Dust Mite Resistant
Wool is a great choice if dust mites concern you. Wool fibers wick away moisture, creating a low-humidity microclimate inhospitable to dust mites.
- Anti-Microbial and Anti-Bacterial
Wool resists bacteria and is both antimicrobial and antibacterial.
- Naturally Fire Resistant
Wool is inherently fire resistant, providing a safe sleep environment without the need for chemical additives.
Sheep grow a new coat of wool every year and are not harmed during shearing. It’s like getting a haircut.
- Supports Small Ranches And Ranchers
Wool is a sustainable product and helps small ranchers make a living.
100% Icelandic Wool Dryer Balls
100% Icelandic wool dryer balls. Our dryer balls are approximately 31mm around, and will last you for many years. The primary benefits of wool dryer balls are that they help to dry laundry more quickly and are made from all natural materials. When you load a big armful of wet towels into the dryer they will flop and tumble around. Normally fabric will stick together in the dryer, slowing down the drying process.
A pair of balls will last 3-5 years and reduce the energy used to dry items by 31%. They are eco friendly and natural.

Lambs fleece reservation and processing
Reserve your lambs wool fleece for the fall.
Have you wanted to become more connected with your fiber, knowing the animal who grew it, learning about how to take it from the animal and turn it into a finished product? This fleece reservation allows you to do just that. You can select a time to come visit the lambs, or have a virtual tour and selection, where you can pick out the fleece you would like for the fall. Once the fall or late summer shearing is here, you will be welcomed to come to shear day and hold your new fleece. If you are not able to make it to shear day, we can set up a virtual opportunity or I can take pictures and videos. After shearing I will teach you how to skirt your fleece, wash it, and finally process it. You will have the opportunity to wash here at the farm if you would like or I can wash it for you. You will also have the opportunity to have me process it into roving, batting, or handspun yarn (for an additional fee) or you can use my small picker, carder, and a loaner spinning wheel. If you are not in my area and are unable to make it to the farm, I will send pictures of your fleece as it is processed if you wish, or I can send the raw or washed fleece to you.
This is a great opportunity to get to know the animal who grew your clothes, as well as to gain the skills to process fleeces in the future.
Attention fiber artists! Now there is a CSA for you!
Imagine each month you are shipped or can pick up a fiber CSA box full of amazing roving and batting for your spinning/felting desires! Each month I will select a new fiber to fill your box up and keep you busy for the month ahead. The fibers selected will be locally sourced, from local shepherds using sustainable farming practices, and will include a small information card that tells you about the sheep/farm. This CSA will give you the opportunity to try new fiber types, learn about the different breeds, and practice new techniques. You will also be added to a fiber CSA FB group, where you can connect with other fiber members and discuss processing. Who could ask for more! If you live in the area we will hold monthly member chats on the farm during the box pick up. Bring a drink of choice, a snack, your wheel or needles, and come sit at the farm and geek out on all things fiber. We can hold a virtual opportunity for those of you who are far away.
Each box will be 8-oz of fiber, a mix of batting and roving depending on the fiber I have selected, and will have some naturally dyed fiber in each box. The fiber will be milled in my small fiber mill here on the farm. This is a 6 month CSA.
